A Record Store Day Paean To Wilson

Kooky Records has announced that the critically acclaimed album A Paean to Wilson is to be given a special limited vinyl release to coincide with Record Store Day in spring 2013.

This will be a double vinyl release which will include some artefacts from its Manchester International Festival launch in July 2009.

Vini Reilly's headphones

Vini is in a bit of a fix money-wise and he's looking to sell a pair of his headphones so he can pay £1,200 rent that is currently unpaid.

Vini's nephew Matt Reilly informs us that Vini has a pair of Grado Professional Series PS1000 headphones that he paid £2,000 for and he'll sell them for £1,200. They are in mint condition, still under warranty and come with box.

If anyone's got £1,200 and would like Vini's headphones, please contact us and we will pass on the message.

'LC' reissue on Factory Benelux

The classic album 'LC' is set to be released on the revived Factory Benelux imprint (the very same that saw 'Short Stories for Pauline' released as FBN 36 earlier in 2012) in February 2013.

The widely expanded 2CD edition features the original ten tracks plus no fewer than 23 bonus tracks, including the rare Sordide Sentimental single Danny/Enigma, the full Deux Triangles 12", and the 3 tracks which appeared on FACT 24 A Factory Quartet in 1980. Also included are some rare Crépuscule compilation album tracks, and demo versions of LC tracks, including a full length version of Detail for Paul. All in all, FBN 10 CD will be a must-have for any collector.

Chronicle

The full release of the partly-autobiographical album 'Chronicle' which was previewed live in 2011 and issued in limited quantities is to be officially released by Kooky Records in 2013. It will be available in special packaging containing photographs taken by Vini.
